Irene roams the world for six months each year with her
photographer husband Rick. Extended travel has fine tuned their
budgeting skills, although indulging in the occasional luxury
resort is not out of the question. Since "re-styling", as Irene
has dubbed their retirement, they have trekked through 72
countries. Learning to see the world from the perspective of
other cultures is a continual quest. Irene is the author of
Trekking the Globe with (mostly) Gentle Footsteps: Twelve
Countries in Twelve Months. Her stories have been published in
Air Canada Vacations, Canadian Traveller, Outpost Magazine,
Transitions Abroad, Senior's Magazines, numerous BC community
newspapers, and Ezines.
