Award-winning photographer and writer Michael DeFreitas specializes in adventure and cruise travel. Over the last 25 years, his images and words have appeared in magazines all over the globe including Canadian Traveller, Caribbean Travel & Life, Canadian Diver, Etihad (UAE), Geographical (UK), Islands, National Geographic Traveler, Sport Diver and Traveller (UK). In 2008, the Caribbean Tourism Organization honoured him with their prestigious Canadian Travel Writer of The Year Award.
