WEB-SITE MATERIAL GUIDELINES

Material to be posted on the BCATW website should be directed to robert@cedarcottage.com.

Please ensure that the subject line of your e-mail displays the words: "[Name of new member] Web Page Information" otherwise, your e-mail message and attachments will NOT be opened.

All text attachments should be submitted in Microsoft ".doc" or ".rtf" format; Times New Roman, 12 pitch. Please do not use any other fancy scripts as this hinders HTML conversion.

Introduction and Bio Page:

Your bio (50 - 100 words)
Contact information: Full name, mailing address, phone/fax and e-mail (if applicable) and a link to your web-site, if applicable.
A photograph of yourself to be attached separately as a ".jpg" file (5" x 3" at 72 dpi)

Article and Photo Submissions:

Up to three articles may be submitted for posting on the web-site. Word limit for each story: 1500 words or less. These should be sent as attachments (see guidelines below) as well as cut and pasted into the body of the e-mail.

Title of Article in bold script. Immediately below (no space) please add the words, "Story and Photographs by [insert name]" Each article should be sent as a separate attachment in Microsoft Word as ".doc" or ".rtf" files. Please use Times New Roman script at 12 pitch.
If you wish to position your images against a particular paragraph within the text, please indicate this by inserting the name of the article and a reference to the image within square brackets [ - - - ]. For example: ["Finding Fame and Fortune in Las Vegas" Photo #1: Roulette Wheel]. It will then appear approximately in the selected spot. If this is not provided, our web-master will use his discretion as to positioning of images.
A maximum of three photographs accompanying each article may be submitted. All photographs should be sent in ".jpg" format (6"x 4" at 72 dpi).
Each picture should be sent as a separate attachment. Please clearly indicate which story each photograph relates to in your accompanying e-mail by linking up a photo # and a tag-line such as "Finding Fame and Fortune in Las Vegas" Photo #1 = Roulette Wheel; Photo #2 = Street in Las Vegas; etc. etc.
