As an elementary school Principal and teacher of students ranging in age from kindergarten to university, Sandra Harper has published over two dozen articles, edited an award winning Social Studies textbook, Other Places, Other Times, and two educational journals. She wrote a monthly column for the B.C. Principals & Vice-Principals Association's provincial newsletter. She has given numerous presentations, workshops and training sessions within British Columbia and United States on: implementation of change, workshop design, curriculum development, leadership and designing professional development programs. Her doctoral research focused on how people change over time when required to adapt to an innovation.

of Interest:
For the last
two years, as a full time writer, Sandra Harper has added a new
direction to her writing with the publication of poetry and travel
articles. She had travel articles published in Travel Scoop, Connecting:
Solo Travel Networks, Common Ground, and Travel Wise. Ms. Harper
also writes a regular column for a local newspaper. She is presently
completing a book on traveling as a therapeutic journey. In Traveling
the Sun: Discoveries Through Morocco, Tunisia and Spain she narrates
a story of peoples, countries, and cultures, sprinkled with the
transformational effect that travel to unfamiliar places can have
on a person dealing with loss and change.
