I
have traveled independently and as a solo traveler for 35 years.
Group travel has a high single supplement. People often asked
how I had managed to travel so much, not live in " flea
bag " hotels but still pay for a single room and have a
wonderful and safe time. There are a lot of single or solo travelers
out there who would love to see how others live and we need
to tap into this market. I, therefore started free-lance writing
in 1992 for:
TravelScoop,
a magazine for independent travelers (printed out of Toronto).
TravelScoop is the longest surviving subscription magazine in
Canada.

I worked
in several Vancouver hospitals for 35 years in their outpatient,
admitting, surgical and bedbooking departments. I therefore
have an interest in the health systems of other countries. I
love dining and trying new food and wine. Have been to over
three thousand restaurants in Vancouver. Obviously I like to
eat rather than cook. Theatre, musicals, dance and film are
a passion!
