Ruth began
her writing career as a copy girl in the editorial department of the Vancouver
Sun, and as a news librarian for both the Vancouver Sun and the Province newspapers.
She has traveled extensively and lived for five years in Greece. Ruth writes historical
fiction, travel articles, poetry, memoirs and her play "The Street", set in Vancouver's
Strathcona district was produced in 2000. In 1993 she was a contributing writer
for the Insight Guides, Vancouver and Surroundings, APA Publicatons, and her travel
articles have been published in England, Greece, Canada and the U.S. She teaches
writing classes for the V.S. B. including travel writing. Ruth is the editor/publisher
of the recently launched travel ezine Travel Thru History, www.travelthruhistory.com.
